Kiwanis Club of Rockville
Celebrating 62 Years of Volunteer Service to Our Community
...and STILL GOING STRONG!

Club History

Since chartering in 1950, the Kiwanis Club of Rockville has sponsored, supported and performed many activities of great benefit to the children, young people and adults of Rockville and Montgomery County. Rockville Kiwanis sponsors numerous youth activities including the Rockville High School Key Club, the Wootton High School Key Club, the Richard Montgomery Key Club, and the Christ Church School Builders Club.

The Kiwanis Club of Rockville supports the Treatment and Learning Centers in Rockville and Children's Hospital facilities in Rockville and Washington, DC. We provide assistance and services to the Manna Food Center, Stepping Stones family shelter and Chase Shelter in the Rockville area. Our Kiwanis Foundation provides annual scholarships for students attending Montgomery College.

That's just some of what we do. See our Volunteer Service to Our Community page for many of the community service activities and projects which the Kiwanis Club of Rockville has sponsored and supported since its inception.

Each year, to raise some of the money to sponsor and support these activities, projects, programs and people, we have sponsored Summer Dinner Theatre Benefit Performances at Montgomery College, held silent auctions and served Pancake & Sausage Breakfast twice a year. We've also sold Christmas trees and wreaths, giant coloring books and Historic Rockville Coverlets to help raise money.

We welcome your help with our ongoing community service activities and projects, as a member or as a donor. With your help, we can do more. We invite you to join us and become a member of a growing worldwide organization that also serves our neighbors right here at home.

For more information about joining Kiwanis, contact one of our Key Kiwanians listed on our Membership page.
